Python foundations
Build confidence with core programming ideas, readable code, and small projects that make concepts click.
Computing & data tutor in Kenya
I'm Cyprian, a computer science graduate and data engineer who enjoys helping people understand technology by doing it. Learn at your pace, ask every question, and practise with real examples.
What I can help with
From your first lines of code to understanding how data systems fit together, lessons focus on clear explanations and guided practice.
Build confidence with core programming ideas, readable code, and small projects that make concepts click.
Practise queries, joins, data modelling, and the habits that help you work with data reliably.
Get guided introductions to pipelines, ETL, orchestration, streaming, and the wider data engineering workflow.
Work through technical topics with examples and explanations tailored to what you are studying.
Plan a manageable project, break it into steps, and get support as you implement and explain your work.
Choose a practical next step, strengthen your foundations, and connect your learning to real tools and workflows.
How lessons work
Good tutoring makes difficult ideas feel approachable. We focus on your goals, build understanding one concept at a time, and keep the learning practical.
Share the topic, course, project, or skill you want to work on.
We identify where to begin and shape a learning session around your level.
Follow examples, try things yourself, and ask questions as they come up.
Finish with a clearer understanding and something concrete to practise next.
A sample mini lesson
Here's how I break a programming idea into a familiar situation, a few clear lines of code, and a chance to try it yourself.
PYTHON / VARIABLES & CALCULATIONS
Variables give values readable names. We can store a price and quantity, multiply them, then print the result.
# Price of one notebook in KSh
price_ksh = 450
quantity = 3
total_ksh = price_ksh * quantity
print(total_ksh)
YOUR TURN / TRY IT
Change the quantity to 4. Before running the code, predict the total. Then update the variable and check your answer.
Set quantity = 4. The program prints 1800, because 450 x 4 = 1800 KSh.
Learning together
I've mentored learners in the Everything Data community and enjoy making technical topics easier to explore together.
Meet your tutor
I'm Cyprian Kabana Kwatemba, a computer science graduate and data engineer based in Kenya. Alongside my work building data systems, I've mentored learners through the Everything Data programme.
My aim is to help you build real understanding and the confidence to keep learning independently.
